The alleged incident took place a few days before his arrest. Detectives from a special investigations unit of the sheriff's office teamed up with the Angie Police Department to probe into the sale of a minor child on November 26. During the investigation, it emerged that Penton had allegedly approached a woman at the Angie Auction House with an offer to buy her infant daughter.
